FLINDERS

A large north facing site in the beautiful peninsula town of Flinders, is the location of this proposal for a new five bedroom holiday home for a young family. A concept of pavilions, the design comprises four individual buildings, connected via links surrounded by gardens. Of these, the three main pavilions focus around a central terrace, connecting to the pool and partially sunken tennis court. The layout allows for an abundance of natural light and complete engagement with the surrounding landscape. The blackened timber and stone cladding, together with the traditional pitched roofs, brings together an image of a modern barn.
